Headlights flickering/other electrical issues after engine build

Last November I did a H/C/I build on my SS, but after getting the car back noticed the seat wouldn't move. Months later and there's other issues as well, the main one being the headlights constantly flicker on and off when just the DRLs are on, but it's fine if I manually turn the headlights on or if I'm driving at night. I brought it in to a dealer in January and they told me it needed a new wiring harness, part number 84045200.

The part is discontinued so I'm not sure how to get a new one. They said they won't fix the harness but would some private shop be able to do that? It's a bit more urgent now because tonight I went out to my car and noticed the windshield fluid motor was constantly on and the headlights wouldn't turn off. I ended up pulling the fuses for the headlights and the windshield motor but I'm really not sure where to go from here.

Were headers part of the build? If so check the wiring harness that runs under the coolant reservoir on the passenger side. Many people with headers have found melted/burned wires in that area due to the wiring harness being close to those hot header tubes without adequate heat protection.

Was the harness discontinued without a replacement part number? Even if yes, you can try several vendors or venues that may still have some inventory, say, http://oemcats.com/oem-parts/84045200.html or even ebay.

Hawks Motorsports might have what you need from one of their salvage Camaros.

Yeah it was discontinued without a replacement part number, but thanks for sharing that link. I'll probably try to find the part off a salvage car because that's a bit pricey but if I can't find it anywhere else at least I know I'll be able to get the part.

Yeah I got headers too so I'll check that out.
