Installed ZL1 Addons Deluxe Rock Guards

I just installed ZL1 Addons Deluxe rock gaurds. Nice pieces. I heard people complain about the 3M tape showing. I installed my upper fronts with the edge even with the inside edge of the fender and the tape is hiden well. Looks good. I think this is how they intended they be installed. I put the rears on without taking my tires off but I used special tools. Fairly easy that way. Here they are.

I have had these in a box for a month. I am torn on whether to put them on. Every time I hear a rock clank my mind says "put them on" but every time I see them installed I think "that mudflap looks silly". Prob why they are still in a box

Looks good. I put the fronts on mine this weekend as well, used a similar method as you to line them up. I'll be putting the rears on soon. It'll be nice to not have to worry about rocks/dirt flying up on the rockers and fenders.

What I did to hide the tape, just in case, was run a Sharpie over the edges of the tape before removing the red plastic.

Looks good! Way better than chipped paint. Do you have any other ZL1 addon products? Interested in seeing how the plate holders and tow hook fit on the longer nose of our cars.

I had a few people inquire what special tools I used because of clearance issues. Instead of removing the rear wheels, I used these tools to simplify the job.

I do not have the front plate holder... not required in Michigan. The tow hook looks good, but I do not have a need for it yet....

Here is a shot of my car with the ZL1 tow hook. Thankfully I didn't need it last weekend.

Wish they were molded for the vehicle, not a fan of the gap

I installed the rock guards on mine a few weeks ago. They work excellent and the peace of mind you get from them is priceless. Without them, the paint on the area behind the rear wheels will be sandblasted over time. While there is a small gap on the rears because the body skirt sticks out farther than the rear fender, it is only noticeable if you're up close and actually looking for it. Most people who look at my car don't even notice the rock guards at all, let alone the gap....

Dodge has dealer-installed slash guards specifically designed for the Challenger. Too bad Chevy doesn't for the Camaro.

Agreed, especially since they know it's going to be problematic for owners based on the design.
