HVAC control module diagnosis
This one is a real head scratcher for me, been searching the boards and Google for a few hours now. Dual-zone climate control, passenger side always blows several degrees higher than driver. It's not the blend door. Went into GDS2 this morning to check the temperature sensors and have this readout (attached or summary below). It was about 80F this morning when I ran it.
Windshield temperature -40F Passenger compartment humidity temperature sensor -40F Ambient air temperature (filtered) 643F Passenger compartment air temperature (filtered) 636F (but unfiltered 79F) I have the GM service manual (pdf) and couldn't find much on any of these sensors, didn't see them in the schematic for the module either. Not really sure what filtered even means, but it appears to be a calculated number. I find it hard to believe multiple sensors have failed. I'm thinking it's probably the module itself. Any ideas fellas? Appreciate any insight, I can tell there's a lot of temperature sensor issues on our cars but I couldn't find anything similar to this. |

Windshield temperature
Passenger compartment humidity temperature Passenger compartment air temperature These might all come from the same sensor package. The ambient light/sunload sensor integrates the sunload sensor and passenger compartment sensor into a single assembly. Ambient air temperature |
