Different brand of tires up front than in the rear.

Anybody ever done This? I am finding it hard to get the same brand of tires for the sizes I am looking for. Namely 265 x 40/20 and 305 x 35/20.

Don't do it. You will have different performance parameters from front to rear.

I run Nitto 555R DR's in the rear...my fronts are definitely not DR's.

You may have to go +/- 10mm in width for the front or back. Also 305/35-20 seems a little tall, 305/30-20 might be a little closer to factory

I want to run a taller tire all around so it fills out the wheel well better. Can find the 305 x 35/20 but hard to find a tire with same height for the front.

Nothing wrong with different brand up front as long as you as not tracking or doing auto cross. I run PS4S up front and R888Rs without any issues.

I recommend going with a 285/35/20 up front. That 265 is too narrow, unless you want that for drag racing.

I want 265/40 up front and 305/35 in the rear as these are the same height. Rim width in front would be 9" and 10.5" in the rear.
