You don’t have a chart for the 2017 V6 do you. Mine is leaking and I suspect it is also coming from the oil pan.

I got my torque wrench and torqued them to 25 Nm for the 13mm and 12 Nm for the 10mm according to the sequence in the service manual as best I could. A few of them I had to use a gear wrench to tighten and not the torque wrench since I couldnt get it in there.
im a dealer technician for mercedes, and i can personally tell you there's practically no quality control at all at factories. i doubt chevy is different.

As long as you keep an eye on the oil level.

How badly is it leaking/ is it for sure oil? Are you sure it is oil pan? Are you modified/have you checked to see if it could be front/rear main?

It's not leaking bad at all, only see a few drops on the ground every morning when I leave for work. The car runs fine and have no other issues. I took it to the dealer last week and they checked the oil filter and drain plug, both were tight. But due to them being so busy, i cant take it in till next week so they can get it on a lift and look into it deeper. And no I am not modded in any way, all completely stock.

Check your oil cooler bolts...those are notorious for being loose from the factory. Or they vibrate loose...either way mine came loose around 8k miles.

I addressed this issue a year or so ago and found that the front four bolts were the problem, they were loose enough to tell by hand. Tightened them up, seeping issue went away...

So update on my leak problem. I finally was able to take it to the dealer, it was in fact the oil pan that was leaking. They replaced the pan, gaskets, and did a full oil change. Service advisor said he has seen this issue before. I only have 24800 miles on the car, so now to get back to " spirited" driving.

They probably love when this happens, they can charge flat rate labor for changing a perfectly good oil pan gasket (there is no "gasket" actually, it is RTV'd) when they could have just tightened it up. I am not saying I am right but I think there is a lot of corruption obviously costing GM a lot of money in warranty claims.

Old thread but wanted to say I just had the same leak issue on mine and it ended up being that the oil pan bolts were loose. Originally saw a few drops on the oil cooler coolant hose so I cleaned it up and a few days later I saw a tiny bit of oil on the oil pan bolts. They were less than hand tight. Wouldn't have thought to check those bolts if not for this thread, so thanks!

Pic is of fluorescent dye we put in the oil to trace the leak.

Oil Pan leak too

After oil change, service rep said there night be a leak. Not a surprise considering this would be the 3rd one in 5 years and 22k miles on this 2018.
First was loose hose connections, 2nd was improper dealer installed oil filter.
I never noticed any spotting this time and I was looking for it in the driveway.
Dealer just confirmed I need a new oil pan.
Warranty item.

This is happening to me as well on my 18 1Le, I have 51000 mile son it... dealer is asking to keep the car 3 days... seems excessive ! Do we have to drop the subframe to do access the oil pan and replace the gasket ?
