Thanks for the info!! Prior to Covid i had given great consideration to having an out of state shop do the work cause i would plan a vacation out of it and rent a car while the car is done, but now i am not sure. Haven't ruled it out, just have to see how much to ship it enclosed trailer. In the meantime i am still waiting to hear back from a local shop that has done some other Zl1s/Z06s in the area.

I wouldn’t plan a vacation for this as it could take longer than you think. I’m sure it can be done in a couple of days but I’m sure the shop will want to take their time and might stretch it over 2 weeks. Tuning alone for dyno and street cam take a whole day

I believe you will def be over 750 as I have ported heads, ported blower, cam, big gulp, headers, with cats and make 749. Just got my 2650 in the mail Sat, and will be sending it to Kong then off to CSP for a Aux fuel setup to take care of the low side, pully and getting rid of cats....looking to get an easy 850 which is all I want. Ive done the 1000hp on the street and while fun at times, was totally unessasary and lost me more races than I expected on the streets.

Well, I figured it would be close to a 2 week deal.

For me, I didn't want to get to crazy. I am looking for solid 9.X second car that I can drive just about anywhere in good weather. Just trying to avoid meth or e85 if possible. I do have a station near me with e85 that tends to run about e75. I am not looking to throw a lot of money into fueling and that's why I kept my hp expectations reasonable.

without out upgrading low side and on 93 fuel, Id say a safe 750 to almost 800 is possible, although 750 760 is my bet.

So, heard from local shop and he is talking about doing the Cam, Heads, 2650 sc, dsx aux fuel pump, e85 kit, American racing 2" Headers with midpipe. Not sure if this what others are paying, but I'm looking at 19k no thanks to sales tax. Now I have to think about it vs going out of the area and pay shipping. Only other in state place is Redline motorsports.

You think other good shops would be that much cheaper. Have you priced all this out yet?

$5500-6k blower (what I paid), $800 to port heads, 2k cam kits (that’s what I paid through vengeance), $1300 through DSX (low side /e85 sensor), $1500.00 headers. Oil pump ($150), New plugs ($90), Fluids (coolant/oil) ($125.00+), belt ($50.00), and other random stuff that adds up. The motor comes out for this, and we have not mentioned the tune yet, that’s over 1k alone.

So long story I don’t think that’s to far off, this is pretty much my build and I have no regrets.

I have an 18 10spd with ported heads 2019ZR1 cams mag2650 with AR headers and Xpipe Roto fab ( not big gulp) Alky meth DSX aux lowside 80mm upper and all i can say is OMG! It feels like a gut punch when rolling ( and thats in the drivers seat ) the electronic speedo cant keep up. And blower temps and IAT is good. I didnt order the 103 inlet when i ordered the kit i get it 2moro and will install and retune friday .

Did u do the install yourself? If not, how was your job?

I didnt do the job local shops helped install . Wasnt a complex job at all have to relocate coil packs thats about it . Aside from the insanity and brute force the TQ is held across the board. When i had FBO meth low 700s the car hit hard but would feel less and less as the rpm went up .but now it hits hard Wow then it hits harder all the way until you let off .

I just contacted Redline Motorsports since they are in the same state. Awaiting for the email quote to do it. It would be their stage4 setup.

Well, I know Redline is known for doing good work and with Howard tuning, but their estimate just came in 7k higher than my local shop. This is really a difficult decision of whom to go with. I think I will check 2 more places and then make a decision between the 5.

I looked at Vengeance in GA and they were similar price as Redline. I could be wrong but seems that puts labor as much as the parts with those 2 shops.
