As the ones I described above, any sunny weekend day. The “big shebang” Woodward Dream Cruise is annual, in August. This year’s has been pretty much cancelled. I haven’t seen an official cancellation, but several of the municipalities that it goes through have voted to not support it and several major sponsors have pulled out, so there’s that.

The Dream Cruise basically sprang up as homage to the fact that on any given day, weather permitting, you can see all sorts of cool and strange cars cruising Woodward. The Dream Cruise started as a charity fund raiser and has since become an organized Auto Show of sorts.

A group on FaceBook has started a “Woodward 2.0” activity to try to pseudo-coordinate the weekend events. Different car clubs stage meet ups around that so that they can each hit Woodward en masse. If you search on that on FB you’ll find it. Both iterations of Woodward Cruise are a good hang.

Changed the oil and washed my Camaro this past Sunday and it’s rained every day since here. Ugh. Wanting to go for a drive. Starting to plan a road trip somewhere since I have PTO to use after CamaroFest was cancelled.

Or I could maybe find some footage from my dashcams of some of the automobilia that I was able to experience on some of my Woodward cruises this past weekend. About 5 C8s, 3 or 4 GT350s, a GT500, a Ford GT, a 2 or 3 Huracans, an R8, a 488. C6 and C7 ZR1s, too many classic Camaros, Mustangs, and Mopars to list.

At one point I was riding with a Z06 Vert on my left, a CTS-V on my right, a Z06 coupe in front of me, another Z06 Vert to his right and another Z06 coupe in front of him. There was a ZL1 in front of the Z06 that was in front of me and a Huracan in front of him. And a white GT500 to his right.

I am very sorry about what happens in the USA with the protests and more the cause, here, for now, we are calm, we have been around for 4 weeks with a "normal" activity, but with this type of rulers you never know until when.

I figured you would’ve started roadtrips again. Unless the border is closed then I get it.

Yeah I’m looking at a few different ideas. Some are just quick day trips. Others are an overnight. Gotta do something.

Yep -border still closed. We would have went down a couple weeks ago for Camaros taming the Dragon again. They had over 50 cars I think. So, now we planning for a fall trip through Canada - to throw our tourist dollars around up here. Back south in the spring.

I gotcha. Yeah it had a good turn out. Buddy of mine was there and sent some cool videos.

In terms of where. Haven’t nailed it down yet. Debating something familiar or something new.

Much better as a weekday run.. so many less idiots I have only gone on one weekend, and found it just too busy to enjoy the road. It became about enjoying the event and all the goings on. Weekdays, its the road.
