LT4Greg--> lol that's not happening. I had a much longer "hate" list with the Mustang.

WhiteMale--> That will change as soon as i am out of the break-in period

You could add one more to the list:

6) Alcatera interior material

I know it's used in exotics but why would you use it in a car that a bunch of bubbas, cute girls and performance enthusiast daily drive?

Hey I like the alcantara in my ZL1! It’s a bitch to keep clean but it looks good in the ZL1 and ZLE to me.

Yes, everything about the Challenger's center display is better.

I didn't say the readouts were fake, I was saying the bar gauge is a fake analog gauge. Why couldn't Chevy just add the actual number under the gauge or just give you the damn number?

Alcantera keeps your a** in place much better when on track. I’m glad it’s there, personally.

Lots of spoiled car owners on here lol. I came from a Gen II Viper where the extent of the technology was electric Windows and a feeble attempt at air conditioning that didn’t cool the tiny cockpit worth a hoot. The technology on these cars is nothing short of amazing. We are blessed IMHO haha.

I wasn’t sure about it at first, but I like it.

I have to be more conscious about jumping in with dirty hands & staining the steering wheel.

My list is after 2 years and some months, 23,000 miles of ownership:

1) Too much hard plastic (main gripe is the trans tunnel). There are certain things components that have the rubbery material on it, that is what should have been put on there.

2) 2017-2018 seats don't recline all the way back but the 19 and up do. Yes, you can take the seat out and cut out the stopper but come on GM.....

3) No supercharger reservoir. Yet the Z06 does but the ZL1 nor the CTS V has one.

4) Same gripe as the 5th gen but the trunk opening is too small

5) The "cooled" seats are pointless and should have been left out. Yes they work as I do live in GA where it gets 100 very humid degree's but blowing hot, humid air onto my hot, sweaty back doesn't help.

I could list a few more but all in all, I do enjoy driving the car and owning it. The Alcantara is a nice touch, IMO, better than some shiny plastic or carbon fiber.

5) These are ventilated and not cooled seats, use the A/C to blow cold air towards the floor and your butt/back will have a much more pleasant experience.

Great point and no car I have ever owned was perfect for one reason or another but so far I am impressed with my 2019 ZL1 and all of its features.

I have not had to clean the Alcantara yet (not a daily) but I am sure it will be no big deal. Leather has its own set of issues and to stay nice needs maintenance as well.

If I have one complaint (not really) would be that I would really like to hear the SC whine more (louder). I owned a Hellcat Redeye and it was intoxicating in that car and I almost went back to a HC only for that reason but just never liked the look of the Challengers (to boxy for me). The ZL1 looks so much better and meaner...and I know I could install a bigger SC. And before anyone offers I have already installed a Rot-Fab and it does make the whine much better...especially under hard acceleration. Good enough for me!!!

I know and that's why I said "cooled" then mentioned how drawing in the hot, humid air onto my hot, sweaty back doesn't help.

I've tried what you mentioned and it doesn't help any one bit. Windows down at highway speed works better. Those little fans can't draw in the AC air from the floor effectively (yes, even with the windows up) since the air isn't directed to those fans.

Remote start. A/C is cold when you get in. It’s like a cool fall breeze on mine.

Refreshing.

Not sure the transmission they have. Stick shifts don't get remote start.
