Took my kids to McDs play place( seemed like an American thing to do today ) and the people sitting next to us(big family ) can see the Camaro out the window, saying its cool, are arguing over what it is. Mustang or Camaro, and what year.

The best part? I'm trying to tell them and they are IGNORING ME. I didn't just go right out and say ITS MY CAR though, didn't want to continue.

There are two adhesive discs with prongs on them that you affix to the door, put the insulation over them and then seal them off with clip on plugs. Tuck the edges of the insulation into the door track and you're good to go. Temp is typically 20 degrees cooler inside than out now.

Very cool! Thanks for the information. Love the look and in Florida will definitely like 20 degrees cooler

Installed splitter & side skirts

I recently had some gloss black stripes with pinstripes added to my car and a couple days later my matching gloss black splitter and sideskirts arrived so I installed them over the weekend. Here is a pic of the car before and pics of it after.

Now for the sad part of this story:

After driving around feeling like a million bucks on Sunday, I took my car to the dealership for that power steering recall work to be done on Monday and they mashed my brand new C7 Carbon splitter and screwed up my front bumper when I got it back on Wednesday. They say they'll replace the splitter and paint the bumper but I have a feeling they'll try to give me a cheap splitter rather than the one I purchased.

I think I need to report it to my insurance and have them make sure it gets fixed properly. Any thoughts on how you’d handle it? I don’t want to be a jerk but I want it fixed as if it had never happened.

You aren't being a jerk. Give them a chance, be clear you want the EXACT same splitter. You could show them the invoice from it and ask for a a check for that amount and order yourself.

The fact they admitted it and agreed to fix it a good sign, plenty of people have seen outright denial right off the bat.

Installed carbon flash metallic hashmark decals (these will add at least 25 hp each ) and replaced the front SS badge holder that I had messed up with Goof-Off (note to self, never let that stuff touch black plastic again).

Well, according to "The Book of Faces", July 5th is apparently the day to get new tires. I just happen to be one of them. Pulled the trigger on the Continental DWS06 today. They are WAY quieter than the OEM tires. Have all of 15 miles on them so I don't really have any detailed opinions yet. I was glad to see that the rubber sticks out slightly from the rim to help prevent rim rash. (I liked that about the Goodyears.) Even the guy at Discount Tire was raving about them.

I don't have any pics as the car is dirty and the wheels are .......... filthy.

I figure 20K on the OEM tires was pretty good wear. They were just getting down to the wear bars. I wasn't that aggressive on them so that may be why they lasted as long as they did. The guy at DT asked if I wanted to burn the rest of 'em off.

Road tripping to CF-IX next week will be the true test. Looking for better wet road handling at the very least. This also means I'll be able to drive on the colder Colorado mornings with no ice or snow forecasted.
