SUMMER DRIVING TEMPS

Hey Team... Took the car out in the 92 degree heat today, and have some numbers I wanted to bounce off everyone for comparison. Numbers are approx.

At idle (some long lights)
IAT.1's - Got up to 130
IAT.3's - Got up to 153
ECT - Never went over 170

Slow speeds around town...
IAT.1's - around 120
IAT.3's - Got up to 140
ECT - 169

Freeway slow speeds...
IAT.1's - around 110
IAT.3's - Got up to 125
ECT - 166

How does this compare to your builds?

I know the Banks iDash is different, is IAT3 the same as everyone else's MAT2?

It has been 100+ degrees here in Texas and my MAT2's at a low speed cruise are around 90-95 degrees. This is with a Weapon-X boost chiller on my car in cabin A/C mode. Temperatures will get cooler with it in chiller only mode, but too hot outside for that.

It’s usually listed as IAT3 or manifold air temp on most gauges.

In hp tuners it’s manifold air temp. It was IAT3.

Mine stay close to ambient under normal driving in the heat. I have a chiller as well.

Idle it shoots up but that’s expected and of course beating on it.

Ok, Thanks. I just always see people referring to MAT2 as the one that the computer uses to pull timing. I thought HP tuners had MAT2 also, maybe it is just MAT.

Edit: I have an AeroForce gauge.
