Upper shock mount adjustment holes??

I noticed after installing solid subframe bushings, and now lower springs, that I have adjustment holes in the top shock mount.

I didn't notice previously, but it seems they are there to align the shock with the lower control arm. I am all the way one direction on drivers side and opposite passenger. I loosened the subframe bolts and could move the frame around a little. Didn't make much difference once tightened up.

Anyone else know why the adjustment bolts are there? Is it alignment with the frame or for some other reason, like weight adjustment side to side?
