ZL1 Front Licence Plate

So I put a ZL1 front bumper on my SS and I am in Mass. so i need to have a front plate. All of the front mounts I find require rivets to be put in the bumper. I do not want to drill into my bumper lol. Anyone know where I can get one that has double sided sticky tape or something?

Do a search, there are a few posts of various brackets. I used a Grand Sport plate bracket and mounted it to the bottom of my front spoiler. I used existing screws from the spoiler so no drilling. It is held on with wing nuts and I take it off for shows.

There are other options as well.

I just let the dealer put on the stock front bracket. If I ever sell this car, it will probably be in the same state; so the car will still need a front bracket. The holes are no big deal.

I am from a province that requires a plate. I have driven my car 3 times and been pulled over once already.

I own an adhesives company, I have been playing with different adhesive that are strong enough to hold the bracket with plate in place. Once you arrive to your location just pull the bracket with plate off. When you leave the car show just apply new adhesive and your ready to go again.

Does anyone think there would be a market for this or anyone interested if I develop a system?

I am grateful that the law has not required us to mount license plates or numbers on the sides of our cars like on boats.

For a clean ZL1 front license plate install, take a look at the following:

Just my opinion but it's a useless law to gather revenue for the state. It works especially well in the states that still have photo cameras.

We've got 2 style for the ZL1, both of which require no drill/cutting/adhesive, etc... One is considered "HD", it's made of 3/16" thick aluminum and has 4 attachment points, and the other pictured below is considered "light duty", it is made of 1/8" material and attaches at only 2 of the 4 points as shown below...

Installation instructions for the HD version

Let me know if you're interested or have any questions?
