How many running strut tower brace?

I'm getting a healthy suspension upgrade next week, coilovers, sub-frame bush, toe link/trailing arms, etc. Already have sways.

So I'm curious for anyone that track races are you using a strut tower brace? Is it worth installing in addition to the stuff I mentioned above?

Thanks

Thanks for the replies, but what I am asking is if a strut bar is worth putting on if you're already running coilovers, control arms, and bushings, etc. Does it really make anymore of a difference? Is spending $200-$400 for it add that much more?

I don't think it would make a noticeable difference if you were already running those components honestly. It would really just be to "finish" the setup, and for looks.

Most folks seem to think this should be the last piece you should install. I have the BMR 4 point and just haven't installed it yet. I think they look awesome.

Pfadt had a video that showed movement but it was on their already very rigid car.

So considering you are already getting a substantial upgrade to the suspension and it will be more rigid then I suppose it might help.

Without new bushings subframe upgrades, differantial bushings coilovers and engine mounts etc etc etc........... I think that a strut tower brace is useless.

In other words from what I gathered it's the LAST thing you'd buy. Without the rest it's useless. If you don't plant the base what good is bracing the roof.

Running a black hotchkiss on my black monster, like the way it looks. Sharpens up the steering a little bit, but not a dramatic improvement.

Like PQ said, as part of a full package it has it's place but I wouldn't go so far as to say it is useless otherwise. There are a lot of things that should really be higher on the upgrade list though, at least from a bang for your buck stand point. Of course you can't over look the cosmetic aspect of it.

Agreed. I think the Pfadt video wouldn't show as much movement if their car was otherwise stock and only the strut tower brace but a little movement is still movement. I just can't see it noticeable whatsoever unless you stiffen up the rest first.

Does dress up the engine bay a bit though.

Here in H-town, we have some pretty jacked up roads so in
my opinion, here it helps even w/o the upgrades.
