Yeah usually the Tuesday cars don't bring the money they've been bringing this year.
Lot 64.2 had me scratching my head a bit. A 2010 Rally Yellow/black stripe "Bumblebee Style" (NOT a Transformer ed.) 2SS/RS LS3 6 spd manaul with 290 original mile goes for $49,500!?!??!?!??!?! http://www.barrett-jackson.com/appli...&aid=443&pop=0 On the GM build site a 2012 (With HUD, power pass. seat, updated interior, etc.) comes in around $38,000. Just another indicator of how poor auction prices (especially B-J Scottsdale) reflect a cars true value? And yeah that Butternut Yellow '67 RS was crazy!!!!!!!!!! A non-numbers matching engine even. It brought more than real-deal expertly restored '67 RS/SS Indy pace cars have gone for in the past. |

I am guessing every 2010 on this site would have been on a truck to Scottsdale for that price. |

Was watching this for a bit when it was on. Some nice rides. That 67 camaro was super nice and at the time of the bid, was the highest bid car thus far and even shocked the commentators. It was 5 hours long so didn't watch the whole thing, but I sure wished I were there.

I lol'd at a few of the prices...my favorite thus far was a John Deere Model G REPLICA MINIATURE 1/4 scale tractor somebody built...$12,400.00 PLUS FEES. You can buy a REAL DEAL Model G for $4,000 all day long.
Barrett-Jackson never ceases to amaze me. That deal on a non-numbers '67 is nuts.

I'm literally right across the street from B-J and could care less. The auction prices they bring have no sense of reality; all emotions. Gotta be crazy to buy a car there; look is fun, but buying, no whatta rip.

Barrett-Jackson has become the "mine is bigger than yours" go to place for guys to flaunt the size of their co...check books. Plain and simple. It's warm and a big party with lots of shiny stuff to look at. Great for the sellers...sad that most of the cars end up with people who really are only buying them because they can.

That is crazy $$ for the 2010, I like to only watch the first couple days only. Prices are much more reasonable, but from what I've seen so far it's been a buyers market. Many of the cars have been really well restored some even mint and have only fetched $20-30000. Anyone here knows how much $ goes into keeping these cars in the shape they are. Regardless of cubic inches and desirable years the restorations had to have cost at least double the price these cars are getting.
