This.

I won't drive mine in the rain and it's currently under two car covers and a tarp since a cold front hit us.
Why not drive a beater and tell the insurance company your putting it in storage for 6 months?

76 on Wednesday so the Strawberries going for a cruise.

Mine saw snow for the second time today since ive owned it. And both times its seen snow has been to see my lady who lives 2 hours away from me. That is really the only reason id take it out in crap weather, and that is if i dont have a good excuse ask a boss to use my company truck.

I didn't buy mine as an investment I bought mine to drive. Goodyear UltraGrip Ice tires on aftermarket wheels and away we go. Handled the 12"+ snow storm we got in SE Michigan no problem this weekend.

Leaving work one day last week I was scraping the windshield of my Terrain and realized I was actually scraping the roof just above it. Reason 1226 why the Camaro spends the winter under cover in the garage.

I agree, I don't have "winter tires" but I do have an excellent set of all-seasons on mine and combined with the LSD and the electronic nannies, all is good. I can even drive over the rather large hump at the end of my driveway (thanks plow truck) slowly and not have any issues.

Daily drive mine in ALL weather. I was stuck in an inch with my summer tires and it was terrifying. Put my snow tires on the next day and it was honestly the best car I have ever driven in the snow.

Grew up driving RWD in New England winters. '80 Z28, '82 Trans-Am, even got caught in one in my '88 IROC, '88 Lincoln Towncar, . Drove my 2010 2LT all year once I moved to TN and didn't even switch to winter tires. 3" of snow (oooh ahhhh) and I was passing Subies on the way to the airport. I don't get where people get this idea that driving a Camaro year round is cringe worthy. Sure, there's better tools for the job depending on how extreme the conditions are, doesn't mean it doesn't work fine.

Are these all folks that grew up after front-wheel drive became prevalent or something?

If all I had to worry about was rain, I would drive my Camaro 365 days a year.

Cars rust from salt, but the effects of rain are minimal!

It’s not just the ton of salt that hurts your car driving it in the snow, it’s also the morons that can’t drive thier POS Honda Civics on 20” tires banging into you.
