The ETs will fall as you optimize the Camaro's ability to launch. Unfortunately that means biasing the car for the track - but you well know this. It doesn't help that our cars are heavy. I will be happy if mine goes into the 10's and break 165 in a half mile event.

Cranking out 1000+ HP cars is the norm for them.

As for the 8 sec pass . . . I appreciate your confidence but I am thinking that is a bit optimistic . Now if I acquire an LSX 427 short block and crank up the boost to 18-20 lbs, then low 9's might be possible. The car would be well over 1200 HP at that point.

If I could ever get this new clutch broken in then I will hit again through three gears to make sure all of the slip is gone but I already sort of tested that on the highway at 65 in 4th I punched it just a tad to get around someone and it sprung to life . . . no slippage as before.

If acceleration "feel" is any indication, I am beginning to feel confident that the car is capable of a high 9 sec pass but you also have to factor in the M6 with an old man at the helm . This is when a host of my good friends will chime in beating the tranny upgrade to a 4L80E or TH400, and honestly they are right, but I want to do it with a stick
Anything is possible SIR!!!

Wish I had a lot to tell but I am still slowly breaking in the clutch. I have about another 300 miles of in town driving and only taking it out for 1-2 hours on a decent Saturday is causing the break in process to be prolonged.

With the extra 150 hp The car just feels like it is ready to GO. Additionally, I may have been experiencing clutch slip for a while and never really knew it until the slip got so bad and I knew something had to be done about it.

Cant wait to get this thing to a track but that probably wont happen until March or so.

Stay tuned!!

I must have missed the numbers post. Did you pull the restrictions out completely? What boost and rwhp did you finish up at?

Seriously considering following suit.

One pull to 6500 rpm with no restrictor. 1050 hp @ 17.5 psi.

Finished up at 944 hp @ 15-16 psi.

Still a stock bottom end.

I went with the cog drive. You should hear this sucker whine at idle and see the heads turn when I pull into a parking lot, lol.

Thanks! Yes sir the guys at G-Force do a great job. Marvin installed my F-1X and it required a LOT of custom fitting because the piping that came with it was too small and would have restricted air flow. Thankfully, Marvin had an F-1X on his G8 and knew this.

Additionally, when I brought forward the issue that others have had with a cog drive (throwing belts), he immediately suggested that we add the sprag to protect against this. So bottom line . . . It is great to have confidence in a shop if you are not planning to do the work yourself.

As for you thinking it was a shop car, lol . . . Well, I have had a lot of work done to the car since I first took it to them back in May, 2017. It's been over a year and ~ 150 hp ago since I took the car to RPP. Can't wait until the track gets back up and running again so I can see what difference the changes have made. Guess I have been saying this a lot, but there is a marked difference in the quickness of the car.

Look up Texas Speed Syndicate. They typically sponsor a track rental day every quarter or so. Unfortunately they mostly do this on Sunday and I go to church so I have to wait until I can find a Saturday rental. The rentals are not always posted on RPP website though so sometimes they are hard to find. Try calling RPP and ask about the next rental event.
