TBH besides the Camaro and The Corvette, Chevy doesn't really make eye pleasing family cars. they're killing it with the Sports cars but the impala and every other family car they're just not something id even think about buying :(

Man, idk... I hope you are happy with the new ride.
I had a 2011 2lt vert for 3 years and traded it in for a 2017 cts due to my 3 kids growing and needing their own doors. After only having the cadillac for 2 months I was already looking for deals on a 6th gen camaro and eventually put an order in for one. Guess they are just gonna have to deal with climbing in the back seat again lol Once you get used to driving a Camaro, nothing else really feels the same. Like Brian said above, the Camaro just feels special

You did what was best for you and your situation! Move on and don’t look back. If you decide that the Impala wasn’t a good choice then the Camaro will be around for 2 to 3 more years and you can take a look at them again! Enjoy your new ride!

So agree with this regarding the Camaro and other sports cars. I refer to the other sedans and coupes as boring "cookie cutter cars".

I get the decision. I would have a hard time trading a v8 camaro and would make every excuse not to do it no matter how much sense it would make for a family, but a v6 I would be more willing to. Sure the camaro chassis and looks are great, but the convenience of a sedan would probably outweigh that without a v8. Not hating on v6 camaros but going from a sporty v6 to a more practical v6, at least you're not losing too much even though the v6 ltg is a capable engine.

FYI- what you bought isn't an Impala. The real ones died in 96.... Just like the current Malibu isn't a real "Malibu" either. Or the "Nova" in the 80's wasn't a real Nova.

I couldn't agree more just want to add the fact that any Impala for a Camaro is big big big downgrade.

I get the decision to move on from the Camaro, BUT to actually compare a 2 door sports car Camaro to a family full size 4 door Impala? I dont get why you would even try to compare them? They are on 2 different ends of the spectrum in the car world and made for completely different markets? Should have just said you wanted a 4 door family car instead and left it at that?
