SD Card Removed

Anyone get random SD Card Removed messages? It kills my navigation map until it decides to work again. This has happened a handful of times, days or weeks apart, totally randomly and no pattern. 3,000 miles.

Was it brand-new when you began using it? They don't last forever. It may be getting to it's old-age point. The life expectancy of SD cards can be measured by the number of write or erase cycles. They can withstand between 10,000 to 100,000 write/erase cycles, depending on the memory technology used.

When the limit is reached, some portion of the memory may not function properly, leading to lost of data and corruption.

Check the SD card inside the center console. Sometimes they're not inserted completely or they get "disturbed" by throwing things into the storage compartment.
