Dragstrip Finally

Went to the Memphis dragstrip Saturday and had a great time. Times weren’t great but bone stock ran a 12.4. No one was running fast times because of the heat and humidity. I beat a Shelby GT350 pretty handily. I wonder if the Mustang guys realize how awful their cars sound? Program won’t let me upload the video.

Unbelievable but my car got 35.5 mpg in one 60 mile stretch on the way. It averages about 25 on the interstate. What’s not to like about a Camaro SS?

I went a couple of weeks back to see what my car does with the new mods and everyone was running slow by almost half a second and down 3+ mph. I also heard that people were still running slow at midnight madness last week so I am just going to hold off on going back until it cools down a tad. I went 11.4 @ 122 mph and it should be running much better than that.

Sorry, I missed seeing your comment. Let me know when you're going the next time and maybe we could meet up. I'm stock, mostly, but was hoping for a high 11. My wide tires are probably part of my problem and I would like to have a set of DRs at some point. What have you done to run close to 10s...pretty awesome, whatever it is.

Headers, cam, converter, E85 and drag pack. I went back when it cooled down a few weeks later and went 11.2, it will probably go 10.90 in good air but I am missing an intake like a MSD up top so I'm losing a lot there.

I'll definitely let you know when I go back though and hopefully you can go also and we can meet up.
