Hole in rug covered under warranty?
I have a 2017 Camaro SS and somehow the stock floor mats are cheap and flimsy enough that I was able to wear a hole through the driver's side rug in just under 20,000 miles of use. The hole is where my left foot rests next to the clutch pedal and went all the way through the rubber.
Before I call the dealer about this, any thoughts as to whether this is covered under warranty? On one hand it seems like wear and tear, on the other hand no mat should wear out that quickly through normal use. |

i dont feel like they would take care of it but next time you get an oil change there bring it up and ask them
i always get my oil changed at the dealer on both cars so if i ever have a small issue like that or my speaker blown out they will normally just take care of me

No GM warranty-it’s wear and tear on a cheap mat. But ask, they may give it to you out of their Goodwill account.

I doubt they will cover it but it makes me afraid that mine will be like this...

I've had floor mats warrantied in the past, as long as you are under the 3yr/36k mile part of the warranty.

Sounds like some are assuming the hole is just in the mat. Is there a hole through the carpet under the floor mat as well?
