Camaro Service in San Jose
Where do you guys service your Camaros?
I'm due for my first 1500 mile service (engine/tranny/diff) and I'm a little paranoid about where to take it after hearing horror stories about dealerships but I do have the first two services free Any recommended dealerships? |

Dublin chevy has been solid for me.
I can definitely recommend you to NOT go to Fremont chevy though. That place is a shit show |

I take mine to Capital Chevy. They’ve been good so far.

I took mine for its first oil change to Dublin Chevrolet. It's local for me plus I'd seen ZL1s and Z06s there so I figured they're alright. I did mention the crushed rocker panels and pinch welds others have experienced elsewhere to the service writer. He didn't make any promises but I got the car back without any signs of damage to the underbody.

Tuner Service
I had my SS Dino Tuned at Starkweather Performance in Turlock and they did wonderful job. Added 20 HP + 30 Lbs torque. Wanted to go to a Stanless Works Exhaust and ordered from him. Now 6 months later he never ordered and Shop has closed per the Bureau of Auto Repair. So if anyone else is involved let me know. $2000 down the drain!

I need some warranty work done (A8 shudder and convertible top related). Anyone have any experience with both Capitol Chevrolet and Chevrolet of Stevens Creek. If so, would you recommend one over the other?

I’ve gone to both Capitol with my Camaro and Stevens Creek with my Vette. Good experience at both. I bought each car from those dealers.
For what it’s worth- service at Greenwood Chevy in Hollister has always been great too. |

Boardwalk Chevy is absolute trash. Went though he’ll with them about charging me for a rental car when I brought the bat mobile in for some warranty work.
Any reputable tuners in the Bay?

Thanks for the feedback. Did you have any service done at either dealership or did you just buy your cars there?

If you could make the drive, take it to Abel in Rio Vista. They are a small dealership and experts with vettes and camaros. Ask for Rich and after talking to him for sometime, you'll realize your car is in safe hands. I took my Zl1 after buying pre-owned to get everything inspected and I couldn't be happier.
I have a sour history with Boardwalk Chevy at Redwood but for regular oil services, they have been fine for me and my friends. Wouldn't recommend Chevrolet of stevens creek at all. Back when it was called "Momentum Chevrolet", I took my '13 1LE and they broke my engine after they couldn't properly diagnose a failed oil pump issue. |

I have used capital for my trucks for the free services and recalls / warranty work.
They seem pretty good. Camaro has only been serviced by me. I am the only one I trust with it ! I gave up my free first service. No thanks. |
