FYI got the new prototype harness installed and so far so good. Need some more mileage on it to call it solved but removing the previous harness definitely ended my code issue.

I took my old harness out a couple of weeks ago and havent had a check engine light since then, so it was something with the harness. How long have you had the new prototype harness?

Several days, but a lot of short trips (it always triggers on start, and I've had probably 20-30 starts). No light yet. They said they added a diode that shielded the ECM from seeing the capacitor voltage (or something, I'm not an EE). Seems they licked it, as far as I'm concerned.

That's good to hear. Can't wait to get my harness replaced so I can stop using the curly cigarette lighter cord.

Is this affecting the Homelink GDO harness as well?
