I had two fronts replaced under warranty for clunks. Let's hope they last longer than originals!

This is what worries me. you pay a premium for the suspension and then if you own it outside of warranty, you could be completely screwed. I’m sure you could get the car dialed in just as well on some aftermarket coilovers but that’s a lot of time, effort and money just to get back to square one.

No different than an aftermarket coil over, right? At least you have a warranty for a few years which is more than you can say for anything else.

If it’s not rebuildable it’s completely different than an aftermarket coilover.

Even "stock" factory installed koni n bilsteain in other cars were rebuildable after warranty ran out.. usually for less than new. Koni are in the what.. $250/each range? for rebuild.

Seems to be common failure on cars as far back as viper acr... few thousand miles and they fail and spew their guts out. If you got em.. consider extended warranty that cover that component!!

From what I know they should last longer than normal shocks as they don’t have any shims inside so there’s nothing to really “wear out.” That said, I, too, have already had my left front strut replaced under warranty at 2500 miles due to a clunking noise.
