It's an extreme on/off of power and sometimes it'll cycle a few times. My tuner has played with some tc settings to see if their's a way to turn this off, and default to throttle blade closure only. So far we haven't found a way around it, but sounds like this is possibly happening on yours. Like everyone else has said, log it, it will be pretty apparent if this is the case as injector pulse widths just go to 0.
Thanks for sharing... Interesting... That's exactly what I think seemed like, felt/sounded like happened... If someone just rapidly tuned a light switch on/off.

If the TCS Torque value wasn't updated to better match what the current calculated airmass torque is at full tilt, then it could cause traction control to come on real hard. if timing pull doesn't work, it will pull throttle, if that doesn't work it will cut fuel. But again, Datalog or you're just guessing.

Very interesting. I won't derail the thread, but maybe my TCS torque values need to be updated. Believe Greg H was conversing with you about the tc settings awhile back. Didn't seem like timing would be pulled, or throttle would close, ipw would just go to zero.

So, last evening I did 8 hard pulls. A few from 2nd - 4th, 3rd - 5th, and a few where I rang out 4th to redline. Kind of like when doing remote tune logging and nothing. No issues, no blip, no glitch, nothing was weird, car acted 100% normal. The HPTuners data logs I did all look good and what I'd expect, also no new engine codes !?!?!?!

I'll update this post if I find anything additional. I'll research the Catch Can / Oil vapor volume I had further as well. I do know this MM WILD 1000 has a normal LT4 diverter adapter that comes with catch cans that block off the oil diverting up to the blower. But, this can uses a plug in the end, there is no hose connection to diverter adapter. So, this 100% cuts off oil from coming from the valley port. The suction line T's to a vacuum line and the exit goes to the valve cover. That info is from MM Support and it's verified this is how the can was installed!

I did get my first Dragy 60-130 time, 6.40 seconds. Not sure why the one screen shot has the "invalid" stamp, unless due to it wouldn't pick up a satellite ?

I think what Jason means by datalogging is using HPTuners to capture the data and report back

I did, and the HPTuners data log shows nothing out of the ordinary. I assume since the car did act up nothing weird was logged. I compared the data log to the last remote tune tweak Katech did and they are comparable.

Update: Found out from Mighty Mouse support, what most likely caused the unexpected amount of oil vapor to be deposited in the can (4.7oz). When I ordered the kit, I neglected to ordered the required reducing adapter for my install. With out the reducing adapter, it's like using an 8" diameter pipe when you should only be using a 1/2" diameter pipe. To be 100% transparent, this is on me and not Katech. I ordered the MMCC Wild 1000 kit directly from MM weeks before taking the car to Katech. Then told them, what's in the box is what I need installed, nothing more and nothing less.

MM Support confirmed that all hose runs are correct, the valley plug is correct, all was good with the install. I was just missing the reducing adapter. Below is an image of exactly the difference for a visual reference. I ordered the adapter and will swap it out when it get here.

That's good news on the MM. That'll probably take care of that.

The reducer fitting seems to be a common misstep when installing the MM catch can. You are like the 3rd or 4th person I have seen have this issue.

You will probably need to open the hole some. The MM requires a certain amount of vacuum to keep the rubber flap in the filter pulled down to keep the system closed during normal PCV orperation. I opened it up until the can sealed as the hole it come with didn't pull enough vacuum.

This fitting is also sometimes required for Mild systems with ported blowers on aggressive pulleys as otherwise the engine will start pulling air in through the front main seal and make a squeaking noise. Strange that MM doesn't really document any of this anywhere as a consideration on their site for non stock blowers.

Seems like dry sump cars are more prone to having to need this reducer from my experience. It could just be coincidence though. I haven't really looked into why. I just know the solution. MM was very helpful but I would like to see them share more info on their website. (maybe they have recently, I haven't looked lol)

Strangely enough, our Whipple 3.0 built motor ZL1 doesn't need this. Although its not a dry sump car.

THIS. We've had to alter every one of these that we have used. The small hole is a bit too small to provide adequate vacuum at idle.

XXX ZL1 & Megahurtz! Thanks for the heads up on the adapter opening size! Do either of know what the size opening you end up with when you modify the ones you work with? Like 3/16", 1/8" etc?

Thanks

Depends on the setup. I think I ended up with 5/32's for ported stock blowers with pulley(s).

You need a way to measure vacuum in the crankcase at idle.
