Tire for daily driving

I purchased a separate set of MRR 017 wheels along with OEM tires for track days but want to use a tire that lasts a long time for daily driving. I didn't see a whole lot of choices but this one stood out:

Continental Extreme Contact DWS06 Plus

They are sold with a 50K warranty!

Is there anyone who tried these tires to provide feedback on?

Thanks!

I had a set of Continental Extreme Contact DWS06's on a Pontiac G8 a few years ago. Excellent tire with excellent handling. Very good in the wet and dry. Work fine in snow also. Great tire for daily driving.

They get my vote. I ran them (still have them on the front). Excellent all season tire.

I did not like the dws 06. They were noticeably softer than the GY runflats they replaced. I really noticed on highway ramps. I really like my Mich. AS 3+.

If you run a staggered setup mileage warranties are cut in half...read the fine print.

I'm very pleased with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. Tire is very predictible and grips great on both dry or wet conditions.Much better than Good Year Eagle F1 in my opinion.

Had good experience with DWS06. Dry and wet grip are superb. The only thing I don't like is the soft sidewall.

I read this too much...isn't the new DWS+ supposed to be using Mich's sport+ technology...stiffer sidewall? The ECS that I'm running with that improvement still feels soft and/or vague at aggressive turn-in. Car has a front push to it that I don't like.

Considering Michelin and Continental are rivals, I doubt it. Improved braking in wet and dry along with improved cold weather performance via a new tire compound.

I'm super happy with my Michelin a/3+, but the a/s 4 is out now, so you'd be better off going with those at this point. People are happy with the Continentals as well. IMO, you'll be happy with either and I wouldn't bother with anything else.
