Ok well I tried out the CARBOTECH XP20 pads (front) and the XP12 pads for the rear. Now compared to the DTC70 DTC60 setup, the carbotech pads DO NOT have the same initial bite. They dust much less than the HAWK pads but the XP20 pads wore out at a faster rate than the DTC70 pads did on the FRONTS. I am still running the XP12 pads on the rear but for track purposes I am going back to the DTC60 pads for the rear. The wear rate on the XP12 pad is BETTER than the wear rate using DTC60 pads on the rear but still the initial BITE is better on the DTC60 pad.

I didnt experience any fade with the CARBBOTECHS and they DID seem to be a little less harsh on the rotors.

I have sinced changed to AP Racing on the front pads so my pad experiments using the front stock ZL1 with GIRODISC rotors have come to an end. I will be running FERODO 3.12 pads on the FRONT AP Racing set up.

Has anyone tried the newer Hawk ER-1's out yet?

Lower friction than the DCT 70's and 60's at about .5 instead of .65 but same temp range... More like the HT10 except in the right size for front rotors on a ZL1 and ZLE

Keep us posted on what you think about the FERADO 3.12 pads, I know Ken Hill loves them, rotor friendly
