Has anyone installed this shifter on there camaro rather its the automatic or manual and if so, how well is this shifter working out?

That looked cool in a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda, not sure its a good fit in a modern car. YMMV

That does look pretty awesome, did you have to use the zip tie that came with the kit for the boot cover or did you try another method?

Yep, zip tie. I actually had it on my RS, switched back to OEM when I traded it in for my SS and put it on the new car.

Besides cosmetics, is there any point/performance gain in having that? It honestly looks like some sort of kitchen appliance handle.

Hurst claims a 40% improvement in short throw shifting for the manual but the biggest downside is the installation, you are looking at around a 2 to 3 hour install time.

Too bad MGW doesn't make a shifter for the 6th gen. That would be the one to get.

Anyone know why they don't?

Works and looks great. Only drawback is the heat in FL makes the shifter very hot to the touch.

Other than that, I get compliments even from the Dealer mechanics that service the car.

mgw told me they hadn't released a shifter because they couldn't make one they wanted that would fit inside the trans.
