Man the spare wheels great based on what it used to look like and that hash mark looks good too! I thought about doing that but wasnt sure how it would look.

Thanks! The wheel really did turn out better than I expected. I had the hash marks on the car before the accident in March. I really like how they look on the car. I also considered hash marks that were matte black trimmed in red, but wasn't sure how that would look so I went the more conservative route with one color. I still think that the two colors would probably look good on a Rapid Blue 1LE as they would tie into the red brake calipers.

Yesterday I washed, clay barred and added another coat of ceramic top coat to the car (I didn't use ceramic on the parts of the front fascia where PPF is going to be reinstalled, but I did clay bar it). I plan to make an appointment tomorrow to have the PPF reinstalled now that the repairs after my accident have been completed and the paint has had time to cure.

This morning I went our for a drive around town and decided to take some pictures at a couple of locations since my car was so clean.

Man, I am glad to see you back on the road and loving your ride. She's looking real nice.

Miss Carmen will be sitting in the garage for at least 8 weeks while I recover from shoulder surgery. That'll give me time to find someone in Central FL can do a legit job putting on PPF.

Thanks Odabo. It's nice to finally get the car back to its pre accident condition.

Oh no. I hope your surgery and your recovery go well. I hear rehab from shoulder surgery is not fun. PPF is definitely the way to go in terms of protecting the front of the car. Good luck with your surgery.

Picked up a take off set of 1LE wheels and tires including TPMS for a great price. I'll either use them as a spare set or save them and put them on a ZL1 if I can find one that meets my specs or if my 24 order gets accepted and built.

Can I ask you what made you decide to order a zl1? You seem like one of the more enthusiastic SS 1le owners and you’re always one of the first to congratulate new 1le owners so I’m a bit surprised to hear you ordered a ZL1. Did you get bored with the horsepower of the LT1? Just curious cause I’m wondering if the same thing will happen to me haha.

Who knows... just look at my signature and you'll see how much was enough for me (I swear this is the end, there is no point in more for the street).

Sure. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love my 1LE. It's one of the top two performance cars I've ever owned. I've just always wanted a high horsepower performance car. When I had my C6 I wanted a C6 Z06, but couldn't afford one. Before I purchased my 1LE I had considered a C7 Z06, but those were also out of my price range. I also thought about a GT350 at one point.

The ZL1 is the most affordable of the high horsepower performance cars (600 hp plus) available today. And with the 6th Gen Camaro being such a good car, basically a 1LE with 200 more horsepower, I have to believe I would enjoy it as much or more than my 1LE. On top of that, with production of the Camaro coming to an end if I want one now is the time.

Gotcha. I think if I decide I need more power and I don’t really see any cars I like in the future, I think I’m just going to mod mine. Zl1 isn’t out of the question either and I still to this day also wish I had gotten a c6 z06 so I’m not ruling out getting one of those either.

I hope your order gets picked up!

Thanks. I hope it does too.

I've thought about modding my 1LE, but at this stage of my life with my kids being grown and on their own I don't mind spending a little extra to get what I want from the factory. I've done the mod thing on other cars I've owned and in the long run you can spend just as much on mods as it would cost to buy a car with better performance from the factory.

C7 Z06s are still crazy expensive, especially when compared to a ZL1 that has the same motor and arguably a better chassis. The Corvette tax is real.

My 1LE and its new Camaro addition (in the garage).

I just realized that I haven't taken any pictures of the two Camaros together. I need to get some pictures of the two of them.

Sold the 1LE today. Kind of bittersweet. It has been one of the best cars I've ever owned. I considered keeping it, but I don't have enough garage space for three toy cars and my wife and my daily drivers. Plus I don't really need two cars that are so similar.
