Here was one of the catalytic converters prior to me gutting them. I'm not sure if you can tell in the picture, but the inner portion was closer to the camera, while the whole outside perimeter was pushed back by about 2" or so.

Jeez that thing looked trashed. I can't believe it got that bad so fast, how long were they on the car?

5 years. I was messing around in downtown Chi. I love the echoes. Nonetheless, I felt something pop on the way home. Must've been that cat. You can see the different shades in the second picture, grey and browns. It's from the overheating I'm sure.
Glad to report it's running fine now that the cats are out and that the excess fuel is no longer in the engine. I'll do the tests at cruise tonight just to confirm everything is fine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Go ahead and check your parameters (above) via a scan tool. This should be the first step. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have the exact same issues.
Except I have no cats. When it’s cold, it idles rough and I get CEL and service stabilitrac and all that. After letting everything warm up and get to normal temps, I’ll turn it off then start it back up. Bam everything goes away. If I can get some advice on this it would be greatly appreciated. |

good chance the 02 sensors were damage also especially since you say it runs fine when warm and that's when the 02's come on line...good luck! when I did my upgrades I was able to locate 4 brand new Bosch 02's on ebay for $80...total.

So I did have a tuner with the little pre-loaded tunes depending on the gas you run. Since it started misfiring I put it back to stock, I guess I’ll shop around for some o2’s probably just end up replacing all 4.

You need the car properly tuned if you deleted the cats. Anything else that you do is just a bandaid. Your oxygen sensors are reading data wrong because they will think the cats aren't working correctly. On startup, the car ignores the oxygen sensor until the car is up to temp, or on some cars (not sure if this v8 does it), but the car will pump extra air into the cats to help warm them up faster for fuel efficiency.

Im having a similar issue, but my car is mostly stock, all I have done is a vararam air cleaner.
2011, 6.2, 62k miles it has a noticeable miss(not bad), will see if it goes away with plugs and wires, although I'm not optimistic. it will do the standard stability track flashing on and off , then initially threw the P0307, I pulled the plug on 7, and it looked a little cruddy, but not bad. cleaned it and started back up, and got P0300. Im going to do plugs and wires, but Im leaning towards bad o2 sensors
