New ZL1 owner

After perusing the Camaro6 forum for a few months now gaining insight and knowledge about the 6th Gen ZL1, I bought a car this week. I am not new to f-bodies, but my last one was a 4th gen. My original plan was to buy an M6 but after reading about the bog I was starting have to real concerns. Fortunately, after reading numerous posts, speaking with a member (SHE"Z18) who had one and finally just going to a dealership and driving a 19 SS, I decided to go M6. Took a little while but I was able to find exactly what I was looking for (in Texas) and made the purchase, a 2018 Black ZL1 M6. I picked it up last night but I am already sure I made the right decision. I just wanted to thank everyone for helping me make the right decision.

Welcome AZ_SS!! I'm glad I could help. I'm certain the more you drive her, the more you're gonna appreciate all that power and your decision to go with the M6.. More importantly, I'm glad you got the beast that you wanted. Especially knowing that the 18's are nearly gone by now. No matter what, I'm certain you did well, both on the price and the options. Now, get those pics posted so that we can make this thing official!!!

Keep posting and updating..

Yea...pics or it didn't happen.

So since you went with the M6, have you had any trouble with the bog issue that has been plaguing people? What are your thoughts?

It rained on the way home, so I have to wash it but I will get pics up this weekend. As far as the bog, I do find myself coming off the clutch a little slower then I ever had before, under normal take-offs. I have not tried a real hard/quick launch so I can't comment on that yet. As many have stated....ABSOLUTELY not a reason to push you away from the M6. I will be picking up the Soler TB pretty soon though.

Welcome! They haven't been F-Bodies since the 4th Gen Camaro though.
