2019 Camaro Vinyl Stripe Peeling
Hey all, been enjoying my new '19 Camaro SS that I picked up in April, but noticed a nasty issue with the dual black vinyl stripes on the hood - They have started curling up/bubbling along the edges and corners of the upper hood vent.
Has anyone with the factory vinyl hood wrap or stripes experienced this issue and know if a replacement for something cosmetic like this would be covered under the warranty? Thanks! |

I bought a car that had stripes and were not installed correctly by the dealer also. I noticed it before purchasing and the dealer had them fixed. These stripes are dealer installed items. My dealer had to order new stripes in order to fix the problem at the rear spoiler.
Have them fix it soon as a warranty item.

Just like 4824guy says, take it back to dealer under warranty since they are factory installed... I had the same issue with my 2018 SS fender hash marks, one was perfect, the other one was way off but before I left the dealership after buying the car I pointed it out to the salesman and his boss and they agreed to replace it under warranty... I didn't do it til almost 5 months later (since I live in OH and the car doesn't come out in the winter) but they never argued with me about it...

Appreciate this thread. Have an '18 2SS with a hash mark peeling up where a bug smacked it lol
I'm still within warranty period, dealer said he wasn't sure, & would call the "warranty administrator." I hope this goes my way... |
