Minor cosmetics to 1LE

Got inspired to do a few cosmetic changes to my 1LE.
Yellow tire lettering using an oil sharpie
Side fender vinyl stripe with the 1LE cut out.
New steering wheel cover, thicker and better grip for my hands.

Already did factory speaker change out to Focal, what an improvement.
Ordered a 10 inch sub that I can remove on track days.

I will send more pic of that install.

Enjoy
Ray

I’m interested in swapping out the factory speakers to something better too. Did you run an amp or just what the factory came with?

Tires need lettering on the other edge of the tire to balance out the "Goodyear" on the one edge.

Only replaced the speakers with a good aftermarket brand. I selected Focals using the factory amp. The Focals can definitely handle more power, but it was such an improvement. My sub is arriving shortly, I will do my best to take some pictures.

Above is the link to the vendor (Ali) that manufacturers the steering wheel cover. They come in red and yellow. I took the steering wheel off the car, allow time to sew. Took me 4 or so hours from start to finish.

Enjoy

Love your steering wheel. How much was it? How was it to install?

I'm thinking about swapping mine out as well. Suede is good but I want to go back to leather.

The link above has the pricing for the steering wheel. I think it costs less than $50. Once you have the steering wheel off the car, it pretty straight forward. You do not have to remove the existing factory wheel skin. This wheel skin is to fit over the factory wheel. Align the wheel skin on the wheel, tuck it in the control using the supplied plastic chisels. Then start the sewing process. The kit does provide plenty of thread and two sewing needles. Suggest you do a little search on YouTube for visuals how to remove the steering wheel and sewing techniques. It is fairly easy, just take your time.

Enjoy.

What did you go with? Did you stick with 6x9's? What did you do with the 3.5" middle speaker and where did you mount the tweeter? I'm thinking about doing this but pretty sure I would need a sound processor for my tastes.
