Whaaat??? The warranty is through GM and valid at any GM dealer. I financed my 5th Gen with a loan through my local bank. That was essentially a cash deal to the dealer and there were warnings about warranty. If your dealer really did tell you that the warranty is void on a cash deal (and you didn't misunderstand them) that that sounds like fraud.

Someone buys a new 2019, does something to completely void the factory warranty, and then sells it to you as a used vehicle with no warranty and you pay cash???

I paid cash and have a factory warranty, and they still offered the extended warranty

Tell them you will buy from another dealer then. Sit back and watch them backtrack. Then really do buy from another dealer because they lied.

They make money when they finance someone. Fun fact, if the bank comes back with, say, 5% interest.... the dealer can write it up as 5.9% interest and they make money when they do so. A lot of people don't know you can negotiate the interest rate. It also gives them another "weapon" when someone says they they're not happy with the monthly payment. Change the rate down to where it should be instead of lowering the price of the vehicle. It's called "buy rate" and not APR when the bank gives the rate to the dealer.

Unfortunately in my previous life I was a car salesman and we did this a lot. SOOOO tip of the day. Always try to negotiate the APR even if you are happy with the payment.

I paid cash for mine and have had warranty work done. They are trying to trick you into going through their in house finance company where they can make an extra $10,000+ for the interest and finance charges. Tell them to go screw themselves for being lowlife pieces of sh!t and go through another dealer.
