Question regarding MAP sensor / readings
Out of curiosity - and understand I am still getting to know the HP Tuning Suite, when changing to a different MAP sensor (1BAR vs 3BAR) is there any need to re-set the settings on the PIDs for the different sensors?
Reason I ask - when doing my S/C install, my tuner wanted me to put in a Barn-Breakout harness in the car. So now I have my stock LT1 1Bar sensor mounted to atmosphere by my air cleaner, and have a 3Bar sensor in the intake. When doing my tune - my tuner tuned everything and was reporting 9-10lbs of boost, but I am not 100% sure of which PID he is looking at. In my log files I am seeing a lot more than that, (18-20lbs) so I am presuming that my configuration file in my HP tuners is either looking at the wrong PID or not calculating correctly. | also have a AEM OBDII gauge ant it is reflecting the higher MAP readings also. Just curious how I can find out if his map is monitoring a different PID than the one my gauge is looking at.

I want to say first off I AM NO EXPERT...not by a long shot. Everything is from research.
Watch this video: it helped me. I tried to do what he did. Like I mentioned before..bottom line its MAP-Barometric pressure = boost

Thanks - I wonder if I can create a PID that does live subtraction of the Intake MAP sensor from the open-air MAP sensor?

What channels are you logging now for baro and MAP to get such weird numbers? What is your MAP reading and your baro reading?
What I was logging with a supercharger, 3-BAR MAP sensor, and baro breakout kit was: Intake Manifold Absolute Pressure (SAE) in ECM>Engine>Airflow>Manifold Barometric Pressure (SAE) in ECM>Environment Boost Pressure parameter is available inside ECM>Engine>Airflow>Boost. The subtraction is open-air baro from MAP sensor. That is boost pressure. |

Thanks guys - I think I know enough to get this working. I just have to find out how to get the AEM gauge to look at something other than the default PID
