Need New Daily Tires for Missouri
 I will be relocating from Arizona/Texas to Missouri. I recently drove up to Missouri with my summer tires they handled “decently” despite the cold. But, again they are stock summer tires that I use daily. I need to find some good daily tires with good traction and tread life for Missouri. Any suggestions? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Where in Missouri are you? I'm in Kansas City and for the most part, save for a few days in the winter season all you need to contend with is the freezing and sub zero temps. I use the BFG Comp2 A/S tire. No need for a snow/ice specific set. In this area we get 1" is about all it get's of snow, we get more than 2" and the area is paralized.
I have the luxury of having 2 sets of tires for my 1LE, run these A/S about 4 months out of the year, like Nov-Feb, and switch to my summers otherwise. |

You aren't specific about your driving needs or Missouri location. You also don't say if you plan to run the new tires all year or only in cold months. The BFG Comp2 A/S, Continental DWS06, and Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ seem to be the favorite all-season tires on Camaro6. There are tradeoffs between price and performance. TireRack.com and other discount tire web sites have several good reviews and comparisons between major brands.
Some people people opt to buy a dedicated set of winter wheels and tires as stated above rather than pay to mount and balance tires each season. Another advantage of dedicated winter wheels and tires is that you can buy 18" or 19" wheels and standard 1LT/2LT size tires for less than the SS size tires. Search through the Tires subforum for lots of good suggestions. This topic gets a lot of attention! |

Im in KC.... i ditched the factory summer tires for a full set of General AS-05.....They are made by Continental and have the same compound as the DWS-06... Great tires!!!! have no issues with the snow and ice we have had lately......

Comp2 A/S...I love these tires. I had run a set on my 15 Mustang GT/PP, was a no brainer to get a 20" set for the 1LE.

Myself and several other ZL1 guys are running the Bridgestone RE980AS's, and they are pretty perfect as an all around tire and very fairly priced as well.

Cooper Zeon RS-3 G1's here in Springfield. Haven't had any issues with them.
