Sub Box?

Anyone making one for the convertibles yet? It looks like there is room on the drivers side. I think the stereo needs a little boost.

AFAIK, there are no sub boxes made specifically for convertibles yet. However, there are off-the-shelf options available that will fit. The search function is your friend. There's an example of something that will fit below the folded down top in this post.

Another option is a footwell sub enclosure. Have you seen this thread?

Thank you. Not interested in either of those. Looking for a nice corner box made for my trunk. I had one like that on an old 4th gen and it worked great.

You will have to go custom for a corner box.

I am sure somebody will make one at some point like they did for the 4th and 5th gen. I am very patient! Might play around with making my own too. I have a table saw and a mitre saw.

I had one made for the passenger foot well.

It holds a 10" JL Sub, which is more than enough because it is in the passenger cabin and all the energy goes right to the driver and passenger. Sub in the trunk in a convertible loses so much because the sound just escapes especially when driving.

I have been following your install and it looks pretty awesome. Thing is that I have a long legged wife who likes to stretch out there. And since her name is on the car, too, her legroom gets priority over my stereo needs. Trunk subs have functioned well on the last two generations of Camaro's, and I am sure one won't be very far off. I just need to wait. There seems to be more room on the 6th gen too, so maybe I can fit the mythical W7 back there.

I like that a lot. I want to do that for my coupe. Much better than taking trunk space

I had to go custom , driver's side fiberglass enclosure. Single 10" JLW6. Sounds perfect with the top up. With the top down, loses a bit of umph though, as is to be expected. I think the passenger footwell would be a good place, if you can find a sub small enough and build a custom enclosure there. If you wait a bit, JL and others will likely make a stealth box that will fit, like they did for the 5th gen

Hello all, I have been working on a sub box for my 2LT, and it will go under convertible top area, so when the top is up or down I hope to have powerful sub-bass. I am using 2 JL Audio 12TW3-D4 12" 400W Dual 4 Ohm Thin-Line Component Car Subwoofer wired as 2 ohm the as 1 ohm with a Rockford Fosgate Prime 1,200-Watt Class-D 1-Channel.

Using an M-650 Navtv so I get the flat sound from the 2017 Camaro Nav head unit, and a jl twk d8 for the sound control. The bass is not bad but now I am making a larger sub box that will provide a lower bass. If anyone wants more info on the box that I am making after I finish the build.

I would like to see the sub enclosure you did for top up or down.
