Firestone Indy 275 35 20 vs 285 35 20

Is it worth the extra $50 to get the 285's over the 275's for the rears? My F1 back tires are getting worn down pretty bad so I gotta make a decision soon. Factory wheels btw.

IMO no. 275 is the perfect tire for a 9.5" rim. 10.9 vs 11.4 width. Only a half inch will hardly be noticeable.

You might want to try a local Firestone as they might beat or match that deal.

Have you had / used firehawks before? Im curious how they are as they were the cheapest cost tire when I was looking for new ones.
Settled on Hankooks, but still curious.

Haven't ever used them but for the price and it seems like a great summer tire umma give it a shot. Probably will just get the 275 factory tire size instead of 285 cause of the 9.5" wheel like wal-dog said..will try the local tire shops as well before I order online as mentioned..

I put a 285/35/20 BFG Comp2 A/S on my stock rear. Zero issues.
It is only a couple extra mm.

Well I know it will with no fit issues but does the extra 10mm actually make contact to the pavement on the stock wheels?

For $50 its not worth it to go up in size.

I ran those 500s on my Mustang GT/PP for about a year, fantastic tire. It's not an MPSS or PS4s but it's not at that price point either.
