Smoked tail lights fitment
Anyone else’s smoked tail lights fit like this? The right side isn’t so bad, but this side...

That photograph accurately depicts how both pairs of factory taillights (i.e., red and tinted) fit on my Camaro (and, namely, the driver side taillight).

You could try and reseat the pins, perhaps one isn't all the way in, or the VHB strip that is between the bumper and the taillight housing is creased and forces a bigger gap.
That said, unfortunately this much gap doesn't look out of the realm of possibility with the 1LE smoked tails.
