They weren’t going to put it on the ZL1 anyways...
The ZL1 was always going to keep its fascia, as that fascia is designed specifically for the cooling and aero requirements of the car.

The 19 SS looked like shit 2 months ago and it still does. I would have to wrap or paint the middle black section body color, remove the bowtie and do the body work necessary on the bumper cover after the removal of the bowtie, put the bow tie in the middle of the upper grille, move the SS to the lower grille.

I'm sorry, from whatever profile this thread is headed, the 19 refresh is hideous. You can't spin this thread any other way.

The only 19 that looks good in the front is the ZL1. Haven't seen a 19 1LE yet.

Okay, here's the real deal. Like the upper grille, not so squished. I agree the flow tie should been placed in the upper grille. The hood vent is okay, a bit more shiny than 2014/15s. The side mirrors should have reverted to 5th gen style (a work of art). The rear is nice, even the indents for tail lights, but the tail lights were a miss step. No lights on, they are clear and look like goggles. I dig the 3D though, but not that much. I think just over styled.
I wasn't a fan of 2016 refresh, especially the front, but I came around to admire it and bought a 2018, fearing the 2019s. |

How much is the Flow-Tie really contributing here? The lower grille looks slightly larger or the same and the upper grill is larger than the 16-18. I question the need...
Also, where does the Flow-Tie flow to? Isn’t the crash bar right there? With that, I fail to see a reason to put the Chevron there, in the middle of the fascia. The LT 1LE looks good. If I had to own a 2019 SS, I’d swap to that front fascia as soon as I got the car home. I’m not kidding. I like how the upper grill flows into the middle portion of the front fascia and tucks under the headlights/headlight accent. The slanted headlight accept is nice - it gives the front some natural aggression, like you’d see in an animals face. It’s a very natural, aggressive look. The lower grill is decently sized and I like how it tucks behind the little air duct fangs. The air duct fangs look very natural, aggressive and functional. The side aero reliefs look well integrated. Overall, the LS/LT fascia looks much more thought out and streamlined. It looks natural, aggressive, formed-for-function and well proportioned.
