I hope you keep running your 1LE. Between you, Greg and Terry, it's awesome to have so much talent running locally.
If the FRS dies, then the 1LE will have to be it.

had another two day event this weekend.

Day 1 i struggled to get into a rhytum, the afternoon I had fast raw times with some cones i know I hit and some i have no clue. Sorry found the sound, tried and external mic and it didnt really work how I wanted it to.

Day 2 went a lot better, car felt good tires werent overheating. Placed 6 on pax behind a class of ES miatas and one CSP miata lol.

few notes. The car is feeling really good but getting a decent ammount of understeer due to the front tires being eaten up. Going to flip them for a track day I have coming up and the the cam challenge in peru next month. The next local I think il be scrubbing in my nationals set of tires.

Had another local today, pace felt there, but times don't reflect it because of two huge mistakes due to Ice mode. Only really experienced it once or twice before today, but got it on every run this morning. First three laps I got it at the :43 second mark, so on my last run I tried to stay a little more to the right to stay away from some bumps there, and I didn't get Ice mode, but I broke WAY too early. Then a few corners later, I got it in a new spot and had to almost bring the car to a stop to avoid taking out a wall. Between those two mistakes, I think I left at least a second and a half out there, if not more.

Damn that looks quite bumpy!! What mode did you have the shocks in? Sometimes to avoid icemode we have to give up to hopefully go up!

Shocks were in track mode. But yea, looking at videos closer, I broke a little later in the second spot, which was enough for the car not to like it. I'm learning that you really need to drive around the bumps on this lot.

personally id soften the car up for a lot like that. Maybe try it in sport mode just for the shock settings?

That's not a bad idea Mike, I too was bouncing around out there yesterday but I forgot my SD card at home so I don't have the PDR footage

looks like you were cruising along really quickly. I'm new and go SLLLoooowww. Lol, the course looked pretty confusing as well! Time and practice. We start here again in September.

For us newbs out here...what is "ice mode"? I didn't see you sliding out there.

Yea I think I'll give that a shot next time I'm there. Regardless I feel now that I should have been able to drive around the issues, so still getting there. Unfortunately, I'll have to miss the next event and I don't think the next one after that is until September/October time frame.

Ice mode is referring to a particular behavior of the ABS. Essentially, the ABS get's confused and thinks wheels are becoming locked and starts to modulate the braking force. This essentially results in very reduced braking power and a rock hard pedal. Same kind of feeling in the pedal when you try to stop when driving on ice, hence the term ice mode. In this instance, there were bumps severe enough to confuse the system, but there are some other causes as well.

How to lose a ProSolo in 2 easy steps-

Step 1: My fastest right side run, turn-in was just a bit late at the turnaround which probably cost a tenth or so. The rest of it was solid-

...and then...

Step 2: My fastest left side run, cut a slow light and lost the rear just a bit coming out of the turnaround where the surfaces falls away off-camber. The rest of the run was good-

Those were my last two runs at the Packwood Pro, they were also my fastest. They would have won CAM, but I ran S3 for season points and ended up in bump class against Jeff Kiesel. You can hear the excitement of the announcer as Jeff squeaked by me on his very last run.
