Tire Pressures for Pilot Sport 4Ss

What are you folks running these at on road courses?

I was trying for no more than 38 hot/34 to start, but it feels like the lower I go the better the traction all around. I know the performance supplement says like 28 cold but that's specific to the 1LE, and I'm having a hard time convincing myself to go that low, and up at the 38+ range they feel like they're giving up grip too quick.

Our format is HPDE runs in the morning, and then one run laps in the afternoon for times, so it's a bit of a shift from morning to afternoon.

last little auto x track day i started at 34/35 and ended up around the same or so and was fine but not sure of the exact sweet spot with this yet really

I was having issues with setting my fastest laps on run one or two and then almost every lap after I was getting slower. Last time out i went to keeping it at 34 when I would head out for each timed run and I was staying consistent most of the day. So I suspect the heat and pressure build up was at least part of the reason I was slowing down. I had been blaming it on the driver getting tired and cranky, but maybe that's not the case.

I'm thinking of keeping the rears in the 34 range next time out and dropping the fronts down to 32-ish (hot). Rear feels pretty planted at 34, fronts still feel like they're scrambling for traction more and more as they get up in pressure.

you can always ask michelin or tirerack but it totally depends on the car and suspension mods also lol do you have a track alignment on your car?

I was at pocono raceway this past weekend. Track temps were really hot. First i tried 31-32 cold and that netted me 39-40 hot. And i can tell you these tires dont grip to much at that pressure. It most likely was the heat, then i let them cool down for a while.... Aired down to 29 cold...... Came up to 34 hot and that was the sweet spot for me. Mind you im running 305/19 f... 325/19 r....

After playing around this weekend, I feel like my best grip was at about 32psi front, 34psi rear.

I'm regretting not trying to push a slightly wider tire up front than the stock 245s, as the front tires are just giving out way before me or the rest of the car.

Although I may need to reconsider how i'm approaching corners. I think I need to force myself to get a little more throttle in to shift the weight back on the rear and not over load the fronts.
