PDIM VCI
Can anyone tell me if the dealer will need a VCI to program the PDIM in the 2010 Camaro?
Thanks |

Is VCI = Vehicle Computer Interface? You will need to take it to the dealership after installed so they can re-program/update

The BCM has to be reprogrammed and there is a $50 program fee. The tech has to call a phone number, update info about car, download software, then install. Should take about an hour to an hour and a half. Depending on if they've ever done it before or not.

So they have had it for a couple of days now and can not figure out how to do it. I called yesterday and they stated that they can not get the car to take the program. I asked if they thought it was the car or the scanner and they said car....
Being that I installed the PDIM and Radio Controls is there anyway they can state that it was my fault they could not get it programmed? My general theory is the car should accept the program update regardless as to whether the parts are installed. Any thoughts? |
