black lug nuts
I'm looking at the black lug nuts (PN:84448918) I want to know if the color would wear off over time with regular tire maintenance
thank you Last edited by D.O.M.D1; 11-07-2019 at 10:41 PM. |

If you drive a SS with a staggered wheel set, there’s not much maintenance to be done since the OEM tires can’t be rotated or swapped from side to side. If you’ve replaced the OEM tires with non-directional tires (as I did), these can be swapped from the left to right wheel position. The benefit of a left to right wheel swap depends upon who you’re talking to and most will offer that if you have uneven left/right wear you may have an alignment problem.
Gorilla makes a high quality gloss black lug nut set and McGard makes a good black wheel lock. And remember, no lubricant or anti-seize and torque your nuts to 140 foot pounds. GPG |

If you wrench on them, eventually the black will start to wear off on the corners. Another option is something made by a company called color lugs. They will hold up longer

Gorilla spline drive - these get taken off 10-12 times per year and are looking pretty good for that much use.
You can find them on amazon for under $30/set once n while on amazon warehouse deals. Regular price is not bad either. Gorilla 26143BC

Or pads "freezing" to the rotors overnight if it rains, or you wash the car and dont move it.
