Purchased a 2019 Camaro V6! Initial Thoughts

Hi Everyone,

I just purchased a 2019 Camaro V6, 2LT, auto in black. Came with 4 brand new tires, huge bonus. I'm picking it up on Saturday morning. The dealer has to clean and detail. I test drove it for about 10 minutes, suspension is nice in that's it firm but also not flinty (rough) on uneven surfaces, nice happy medium. There's a lot of terrible roads in New England. There's actually some steering feedback which is surprising considering many newer cars devoid of you that on purpose. Power delivery from the V6 is nice and linear, no turbo lag, good amount of power. Regular gas is a bonus, it gets around 23mpg combined on the trip reporter, just 1 shy of the combined rating from the EPA, but the difference could be based on how hard you drive the car. It's not overkill for the street like the V8. I test drove the V8 and it was fun, but honestly a bit much for me. The Bose sound system that comes with this car is good. The seats are leather and feel nice in quality and comfort. No sunroof, but that's alright with me, take it or leave it. No tracking this car.

Thanks!

Congrats on your Camaro purchase My first 3 were the 6 cylinder automatics and I love each of them. I, too, said the V8 was too much for me and more than I needed. After 2 weeks of owning my 2SS, I couldn't imagine having anything other than the V8. Please post pics when you get your Camaro!

Recently trading my 2018 RS V6 for a 2017 MKZ 3.0t AWD. The V6 variant of the Camaro is a great bang for the buck in my opinion. Congrats on the purchase

Actually, it was their GMC Buick dealer. Yes, they were big into Mustangs.

LGX does not have a turbo unless it's aftermarket. Why not track the car, the Camaro is a great track car no matter the power plant. Slap a set of track pads, track fluid, sticky tires and have fun. And I would not let the dealer touch the car, wash it and clean it up yourself.
