Anyone running the Fidanza Flywheel?
Guys,
Looking for any feedback good or bad about installing and driving characteristics of this flywheel. Thanks in advance, -BN |

Saw this on ZZP's site, and it caught my eye for sure. The description notes that it will be kind of loud, but also that it weighs only 15.1lbs compared to the stock dual flywheel which weighs 31.2lbs. That would have to free up a ton of power and much faster throttle response due to cutting that much rotational weight. If I ever need to touch the clutch or flywheel in the future, I will definitely look into this.

We beat this topic up on here awhile back. That flywheel has been around for some time now. I am looking forward to the day we have to replace the clutch in our m6's. I forgot the name of the company, but they make a carbon fiber and aluminum drive shaft for the gen6 that would pair nicely with this.

I did search before posting and nothing came up for "fidanza". For the driveshaft you mentioned would that be gforce1320.com? Thanks, -BN Last edited by Mjollnir; 12-01-2017 at 10:31 AM. |

No worries, yes, that is the company. I almost want to burn my clutch out on purpose (or just let my wife drive my car) so I have an excuse to install that flywheel...

Yes, definitely for the 2.0L. The question on everyone's mind including
Fidanza is whether it will work for the 2017. I spoke with Mike at rpmspeed who called Fidanza, now Fidanza can verify the installation on 2016 and were 95% sure it would work, so I ordered and arrives this coming week. What could possibly go wrong |

What is different physically about the 17 from the 16 that could be an issue? I wasn't aware of any changes other than GM's security changes to the computer.

We worked hands on with Fidanza on this flywheel, and have it in our ATS. the trans is a bit noisy once you get rid of the dual mass setup, but it isnt terrible. throttle response feels improved, and it doesnt seem to 'hang' as long when you free rev the engine. i just went and talked to Ryan, who daily drives the ATS, and he had no complaints
