Tint bubbling - seems excessive - normal?

I had one of the self proclaimed Tint “masters” in NYC tint my 2022 1LE and I noticed a lot of bubbling especially in the rear window. I also noticed bubbling on all the rest of windows, however not as bad as the rear glass. Is a certain amount of bubbling acceptable? The tint installer claims it is normal to have bubbles. I waited a month hoping they would go away but they didnt. I took it back and he removed the tint and refunded me, but he didnt seem too happy. It was Global ceramic tint 20%

Photos of rear glass:

Also the top of the driver rear quarter window seems kind of chipped up? Is this normal?

That's pretty bad. It was really raining hard and humid when I had tinting done on my Accord and the bubbles never went away (even 7 years later). Mine weren't that bad and only in the corner of the front visor strip and top of my sides. My rear was perfect. I would have had it removed if I was you.

Install was trash. I've never had tint like that, and if I did, I'd take it back for them to re-do if it was me, or refund so I can take it somewhere else.

Or find another tint shop to do the job for you.

The installer was arrogant. He claims it was his first re-do in 30 years, and after reading his google reviews I saw otherwise. Furthermore he stated he can try it again but he won't do it again after that, and said there will likely be bubbles again. I told him to remove it all and refund me, thats what he did. I need to go through and clean the windows thoroughly and prep it for another tint installer to try.

My nephew has a 2022 LT1 and had his vehicle tinted the same week as mine by someone else, with zero bubbles.

How much are you guys paying for ceramic tint in your areas?

20% ceramic tinting the windows and rear was $500ish here in VA. Crazy money
Luckily, the tint I ordered did not come in so they upgraded me to the ceramic tinting at no additional charge.

Yeah I’m shocked they would let that go out the door. Find another installer.

My tint is perfect and the installer will redo for free (lifetime warranty). I used them for all my cars for years and they still look amazing esp. with Texas heat.

This is the real difference between a reputable shop and one that's not. We're all human and make mistakes. Does the shop stand behind their work at the end of the day, or not?
