So far I been to 2 tuners, the first one couldn't figure out the flex fuel. We did a baseline Dyno and the car put down 550 hp to the wheels.
1st Tuner- installed Roto-fab CAI, 2.3 griptech pulley, flex fuel sensor. Car made 633 hp on 93. This tuner didn't do a baseline and I feel like the numbers were way to high. 2nd tuner- cleaned up the 93 tune, and was able to tune on E50 and made 622 HP, 695 ft torque. HpTuners was used to tune, the 2nd tuners dyno was the one used for the baseline when the car was 3 days old. Fastest car has been was 11.05 @ 128 MPH on radials, with a 2.0 60". I have yet to be able to get the car to launch at the track. I think I need to launch at higher RPM to get some tire spin. |

Running the Nitto 05R on stock rims. It is through HPTuners I don't have the file though. I might be able to get it though. The throttle plate is still closing so we have to do some street tuning to adjust it.

Definitely not cool for this to happen on this kind of vehicle....feel like I can get a better launch off my V6 because of bogging so hard :/

This whole thing is actually driving me to buy an A10 car. I'm not going to leave mine stock and really don't care about the powertrain warranty, but I haven't seen real evidence yet that the M6 issues can be totally fixed with tuning. It's a bummer really.

The control tec is scheduled to be installed in my car on the 29th. This is primarily to address the driveability issue, but the GM engineers are well aware that there is an angry mob forming due to the poor launch performance. The problems are closely related, and I believe there's a chance they might combine the fixes.

IMO the SS M6 is not the best launcher either. ON stock runflats low 1.9s are possible and one guy reported a 1.8. So I assume lows 1.9s are rare or not possible on the M6 ZL1.
I have not read all of the threads but have any tuners looked into this? There are some torque tables that alter SS M6 driving.

I'm pretty sure both drivability and launching problems are related.

Totally agree!!!
I definitely agree that they are connected somehow. Shouldn't have to fight the computer so much for control of the car, for taking off.
