Miata to a 1LE??
Hey Friends,
Happy to join the Camaro family! I've had quite the interesting car purchasing experience over the last few months. I placed a deposit down for a 2019 Miata and after waiting 2 months for it, it came to the dealership with several deep scratches. Long story short, I didn't want a damaged/repainted car so I went to another dealer. That also didn't work out so I went to a third dealer who said that they could help me. That didn't work out either and I got sick and tired of dealing Mazdas incompetent dealerships. With nothing left to do, I walk into a Chevy dealership quite spontaneously. Being spontaneous isn't something that I'm known for. I do a lot of research before making a decision and a dealership is the last place that I'd go to without knowing exactly what I want. I remembered that Chevy is having quite a few sales recently so I figured I might as well go check out what they have. They sales guy puts me in a 2019 1SS 1LE and I fell in love. Sure, leisurely cruising down the Pacific Coast Highway with the top down in a Miata sounds fun... But so is tearing up my favorite background... I was too intoxicated with the raw power and exhaust of the 1LE. It made my heart race and palms sweat. I felt like a man LOL. Even though I had been dreaming of owning a Miata for the last 4 years, I no longer felt bad about not being able to get one. I went home, did some research, and found a dealer willing to sell it to me for a great price. And here she is:

What a nice score! I can feel your pain dealing with the Mazda dealerships. What a great feeling it must have been to walk in and find a dream car you (maybe?) didn't consider before.
Just curious what was the price difference between the 1LE and the Miata? I am originally from Denmark and there the Camaro would be a $ 120k car and a Miata is $ 60k due to taxes. |

Very similar cars the 1LE and Miata are. I think the 1LE is a bit smaller....
 Congrats on the 1LE. A way more bad ass car. And if the unfortunate occurs, you won't end up under someone's bumper. |

we were out racing at fontana yesterday with a bunch of camaro guys and so many guys especially euro or s2k/miata guys are so interested in them and how are we so fast lol its funny but congrats!

Nice choice. I've got a miata in the garage next to my ZL1.
Hard to go wrong either way, but I'd take the Camaro over the Miata for sure. |

A Miata to a SS 1LE that's quite the shift!
Glad you are happy with the SS but that sucks that Miata came in all scratched up

You will love the 1LE on backroads. The 19 power update to the Miata was nice too. Two of the most fun to drive manual cars on the market currently.
