Proclip is pretty cool in that the base you mount to the car is different from the phone holder.

Just an idea, but you could also trim all protruding ridges off the existing plastic tray after popping off the rubber mat, then trimming the mat itself as well. I did only the latter, see below, and all phones in the family fit on the charging pad now. (No, we aren't exactly phone enthusiasts, so even the newest one is a 2021 model.)
I wish I could, I actually saw your post a while back on it but even with the edges trimmed there’s still not enough space based on the plastic shape mold to lay my phone down flat

I meant also cutting the plastic mold underneath the rubber mat, as it has some ridges and spacers near the edges that could be lopped off, then you could either flatten the rubber mat or better yet, get a different, large one (say, from a Silverado or a Ram) and trim to fit perfectly.

Now, if the perimeter itself is already too small, you're out of luck, of course, but that might be enough and easier than 3D printing the entire mold. Again, just an idea, luckily for me, our phones are small enough to fit after trimming the short edges of the rubber mat and nothing else.

From a kit on coursemotorsports. I mentioned above that I would have went with the non-charge version if doing it again, as it's just as easy to plug the wire into the bottom of the phone if a charge is needed and less bulky.

It mounts to an existing 7mm bolt behind the display. Not too bad to get to it:

My personal preference is to have the phone out of the way off to the side, so works for me.

I like that one, how do you get to the bolt?

Oh I thougt my link went right to the install vid, but nope. There is an install video on the link in my last reply above, but you have to go to the Install Instructions tab in the middle of the page to get to it.

I went with exactly the same... Concourse Motorsports Non-charging mount. Nice near eye-level location equal with the "radio display" and easy to connect the charger when necessary. Super easy install if you watch the installation video. 5 -10 minutes max
