Back Up Camera Issue Please Help!

So My 1SS 1LE was delivered today. Looks Great! When i put it in reverse on the touch screen there is a camera icon with a line through it. The back up camera doesnt work. It is there above the license plate but it seems like it is not connected. The dealership said it is an issue with some 2021 camaros and that it is a software update issue? Has anyone heard of this?

My 2021 had a back up camera issue on the showroom floor. Required a new unit and data cable for repair. The part took a month to source, as they claimed it had to be picked off the assembly lines supply which takes some time to coordinate. Then the repair requires pulling the bumper and the majority of the interior apart to run the cable between the camera and head unit. The good news is you could never tell it was done once replaced. Interior panels and carpet are kind of designed to be pulled if needed.

Check to see if there is a software update for your car (you have to navigate the infotainment). If so, force the install and see what happens.

how exactly do you find if there is a software update? Is that under settings?

Why isn’t the dealer resolving the issue under warranty?
